and the ZSpeed bracket was for the OEM shifter style. Although, there are no identifying marks on my ZSpeed bracket to tell if it is the OEM or short shifter version. It went into gear with the ZSpeed bracket, but it was not very smooth, notchy at times and grinded every once in a while vs the OEM mount which I am having zero issues with now that it has been reinstalled.
I think it is mostly an alignment issue. Because if you get the ZSpeed bracket to support the shifter in the exact same location as the OEM bracket then there is no difference between the two besides where the mounting points for the bracket are located. The ZSpeed bracket simply eliminates the rubber mounting point that the OEM bracket uses.
